Joy - Joy
I EXPRESS THE FULL JOY OF LIVING.
We all strive for ideals. We all have a notion of what we want to be. But if we delay our happiness while we wait for some change or perceived improvement, we overlook much of life and its joys. If we look longingly toward a time when life will be different, we miss the unique pleasures of the present.
The greatest assurance of a joy-filled future is the cultivation of happiness now. Everystep of life’s pathway is rich and joyous. Every person, every task, every circumstance bears a blessing. To find those blessings and be glad in them is to fulfill our divine birthright.
I look to the goodness all about me, and express the full joy of living right now.
My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy.—James 1:2

Our Daily Bread
Who You’re Meant To Be
“Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.” Quoting those words of St. Catherine of Siena, the Bishop of London began his message to Prince William and Kate Middleton at their wedding in Westminster Abbey. Many watching on TV were deeply touched as the bishop affirmed their choice “to be married in the sight of a generous God who so loved the world that He gave Himself to us in the person of Jesus Christ.” Then he urged the couple to pursue a love that finds its center beyond themselves.
From Romans 12, the bride’s brother read: “I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect” (vv.1-2 NRSV).
That royal wedding reminds us all, single or married, of two great truths: (1) God’s great love for us expressed in the sacrifice of Jesus and (2) God’s desire that we find life’s greatest joy and transformation in our relationship with Him. Aren’t those the keys to becoming the persons God meant us to be?

The idea of art and God is not uncommon. There are countless paintings of religious works, however to see Gods Hand in a collection of works is rather moving. Vincent Van Gogh's works gives me a sense that his brush strokes and coloring were divinely inspired.
Sure, Starry Starry Night is perhaps Van Goghs most famous work, but The Sunflowers were quite touching. The sunflower always turns to the light of day. Art has a dramatic impact of how one perceives the object in terms of a social statement. People how are directed by The Holy Spirit see God.
In closing, God and Art are one when it comes to comprehending Van Gogh's works. The life of Vincent was one of utter poverty. Now his works are highly valuable. He tried conventional religion but to no avail. Yet art and nature gave him a sense of contentedness that one who suffers much can find in God through art in this particular case.

Since the holiday is now over, the question is are you truly ready for the new year? The need to move forward in life is at hand. We make plans, yet all plans take time and consideration. It is through both prayer and faith in Christ Jesus is essential to growing closer to God.
The Joy of Jesus is pushing toward "The High Calling in Christ Jesus." All we really need to do is to follow Jesus. We have been in deep prayer for all people in need. The economy is improving, new jobs are being created, people are not losing their homes so fast, yet violence and crime are still ever-present.
In conclusion, we must continue our walk with The Lord of all Salvation. Jesus gave His life on the cross for our salvation. God raised Jesus from the grave on the third day. Jesus said that He will return and set all things straight. The question is: Are you ready for The High Calling in Christ Jesus and all His Joy?
